I am deeply concerned about Metrolinx's application to bypass the endangered species act to construct the North Yonge Subway extension (NYSE). Option 3 is the most destructive route environmentally that they could have proposed. And is deeply opposed by everyone in the Royal Orchard neighbour.
Option# 1 going straight up Yonge Street and tunnelling under less sensitive land is by far the preferable route and should be the chosen route as it was ten years ago.
Please do not permit the ravines and green spaces of our neighbourhood be destroyed by big money interests.
More people and businesses along Yonge street will benefit by keeping Yonge North subway extension on Yonge street.
