According to a report commissioned by several governments including the U.K., Norway and South Korea the next 2-3 years are critical to preventing runaway climate change. Moving towards a green economy is estimated to create 65 million new jobs and prevent 700,000 deaths linked to air pollution.
Ontario must be part of the solution and establish a plan for cutting greenhouse gas emissions. We MUST take action and not be playing politics with our future wellbeing.
Cancelling the Cap and Trade is not good for Ontario and in combination with all the other green programs being cancel by the Doug Ford government we risking being left behind as other countries invest and move towards green technologies. We should be leading the province (and country) into a sustainable green economy and clinging to the status quo. The facts are that something has to be done now.
This Bill should not be passed.
