It is essential to keep a carbon reducing policy in place. That may not be a cap-and-trade approach )I believe a carbon tax is more effective), and there’s room for studies and different perspectives. But at a time when changing climate is clearly happening, it makes no sense to remove the current rule and then start trying to decide what should replace it. That further hurts Canada, the planet, and humanity, while benefitting a few corporations.
Keep the current system in place while you explore if there are better alternatives to reduce anthropogenic impact. Removing it is politically foolish, and scientically irrational.
