The site is surrounded by residents who participate in CLTIP. Conservation Lands Tax Incentive Program. These residents were approached by CLTIP due to their meeting eligibility requirements.
The site exists within a Natural Heritage Area.
Aggregate Extraction is not an appropriate land use in this area. I think that is clear on many fronts.
The Township of Brock passed a motion in council agreeing with many other Ontario municipalities in asking for a moratorium on new aggregate application approvals until a third party assessment of supply and needs has been done. You can ask Township staff for more details on this.
Please feel free to contact me for further discussion if so desired.
Thanks kindly.
