The natural environment surrounding Hamilton and the Escarpment plays a huge role in tempering the climate. Once these lands are destroyed for any kind of development, we will suffer from polluted waters, increased heat retention, loss of natural habitat and contribute to global warming. Additional housing can be built within the city on brown lands, in empty commercial buildings and by building condos / apartments that can house families. Please respect the lands, respect the constituents of Hamilton, and stop suburban sprawl.
