As a lifelong resident of the City of Hamilton, I want to be clear with the Ford government that I am 100% supportive of the position taken by the City of Hamilton to NOT expand the current urban boundary of the city. Accommodation of any population growth can be accomplished within the current city boundaries. We must keep our farmlands as farmlands to feed the people of Ontario and Canada as well; we must not turn these valuable agricultural lands into housing surveys which will be filled with homes that the people who most need homes cannot afford nor can they afford the vehicles to transport them to distant jobs which only contribute to further pollution from more vehicle thereby further exaggerating the climate crisis. We need to establish thriving communities within our city boundary which gives access to public transit and the growth of healthy communities. NO TO URBAN SPRAWL! Thank you for your kind attention.
