I strongly oppose this proposal. As a person suffering with environmental asthma and living in eastern Prince Edward County, allowing more toxic pollutants into the atmosphere is not acceptable. And it’s not just about me. We are still in the throws of a global pandemic with Covid 19, a virus that specifically targets the respiratory system and has affected thousands of people in this area alone, many of whom will be suffering from long term affects and a weakened respiratory system. Meanwhile our healthcare system is in crisis and not enough is being done in this Province to fight climate change.
