This is not at all acceptable. There are clean ways to generate energy available today and with the capacity to produce power without negative environmental impacts over the next 10 years. Climate change is negatively affecting people on a global, national, and local scale. We must all make choices that align with mitigating climate change and protecting the air we breathe. This request is an insult to Ontarians who would make cleaner energy choices if they had a voice, and in particular an insult to communities close to this site. We deserve better. I absolutely do not agree with this decision.
