The properties at 1287, 1301 & 1313 Niagara Stone Road, Virgil, should be designated for residential uses rather than employment uses. Firstly, the Town does not have sufficient residential lands to accommodate population forecasts. A residential designation would add to inventory. Secondly, the site is not well suited for employment uses given the location and proximity from the QEW. The shape of the property is also not suitable. Attracting businesses would be very challenging and the lands could remain vacant for quite some time. A residential designation would be the most productive and efficient use.
