This is a short-sighted Act…

This is a short-sighted Act. It leaves Ontario decades behind other jurisdictions in terms of Climate Change Mitigation strategies. Furthermore the proposed Act has NO strategy to replace the repealed one!
There are very few jurisdictions in North America that have no Climate Change mitigation strategy.
The only reason to hurriedly repeal an act and have no proposal in place to replace this legislation is for political expediency- i.e. "look, we did what we said we would"
Hopefully the voters of Ontario will see through this and demand an actual plan before scrapping the current one.
This is a huge step backwards for the environment - the air that we ALL breathe and the water that we ALL need. If the current government is truly "for the people" it should be taking a stand and protecting these vital resources, not weakening legislation.
