In the noted Addressing the Missing Middle, it states that: "The proposed changes would supersede local official plans and zoning to automatically apply province-wide to any parcel of land where residential uses are permitted in settlement areas with full municipal water and sewage services (except for legal non-conforming uses such as existing houses on hazard lands)."
I have a comment as an individual living in rural Niagara-on-the-Lake and who would be acting immediately on the implementation of this Bill.
As a family living on a septic system, I have a concern about the wording of "areas with full sewage services" and this being a potential obstacle.
My request is the inclusion of terms that would allow for the building of homes on lots that have adequate septic capacity to support the additional home(s).
Thank you.
