As a constituent in Ontario, I think it is appalling that we are willing to sacrifice what is legislated as protected and environmentally sensitive land. Sacrificing the environment is not a solution to building homes. I support high density building, but think wetlands and protected space must be put first. The science does not support this legislation. You are gambling our future to gain political support. If we want the people you are building these homes to be healthy, then destroying protected lands is not the way to do it. I would like to hear from the conservation biologists who can attest the current greenspace is not essential for clean drinking water and endangered species.
