It is ridiculous to open up these protected lands for housing developments when the GTA is littered with strip malls. Re-develop these already paved areas; put in towns--stop urban sprawl!
And make developers stick to their proposals. Three housing projects by me have not broken ground despite being approved years ago--the Scarborough flea market should have been converted to an apartment years ago. As it stands now, these properties become blight.
