My father worked for the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Rural affairs. Before his retirement, he observed the agricultural and housing communities fight the protected areas of the Green belt. He maintained and I do as well, that the health of both ourselves and our agricultural lands NECESSITATES the protection of the green belt and other areas. Areas left as untouched as possible is necessary for ecological cycles to take place. You cannot replace this land with other land where the nutrients have been sapped and cycles upset. It doesn't work that way. This proposal is complete bogus politics and reflects a cabinet that do not understand science nor ecology. Please don't destroy protected lands to feed the ego and pockets of completely incompetent pigs in suits. Please don't let the immoral politics of this government destroy our future. This is completely ruthless.
