If we don’t protect what is left of our lands, for me, specifically in Durham Region, then our children will never know anything but overpopulated and crowded neighbourhoods. We already attend an overcrowded school which has kids bused from a new subdivision down to our little school. I think we need to focus on building for the people that are already here. How do we know that new immigrants are even going to choose to live in these homes? What if a new Government is in power in 2 years and calls off our immigration plans? Then we have rushed through yet another plan or idea for nothing. Our lands are designated for a reason, so they can be left alone.
