The greenbelt areas were…

The greenbelt areas were setup and protected for a reason; changing or allowing to change them would be a very slippery slope for the future. Should be just adding to them with NO decreasing.
I can't understand how this would even be considered with all the environmental and climate changes going on. There is already enough land to build on for new housing just make sure it is used wisely and consideration given for future population growth.

The issue is builders with deep pockets and the ear of certain politicians allowing the few greedy to get richer. They are not considering the future generations and the unfit mess they will be leaving behind. It is a sad state of affairs but as with many things going on in this world; the many seem to have to suffer for the greed of a few. Full stop!
