The Greenbelt is the world's largest area of protected land. The plan to build housing on it is extremely short sighted and overlooks how increasingly rare natural spaces are in this world. There is enough space for us to live outside of the Greenbelt, it is essential that Ontario preserve this precious piece of land that is needed for agriculture, clean air, and wild life preservation. Further, it is important that this government not set a precedent for overriding environmental protections, this will only lead to the destruction of more natural spaces.
