The fact this is being considered is truly shameful. Considering how much damage has already been done to the environment, it should be obvious that what we have left is very important. This is ignoring the fact that it was PROMISED that this land would remain untouched. There may be an offer in place to add more land to the current Greenbelt, but would that actually happen? What's to stop current government from deciding not to after homes are built in the irreplaceable ecosystems from reneging on that deal? It's also not as simple as just replacing the land. By ruining the already in ace ecosystems, there are long lasting consequences that have either not been considered or just ignored.

It goes to show that the current "leaders" cannot be trusted and only care about lining their own pockets.
