The point of the greenbelt…

The point of the greenbelt is that it’s the best arable land we have in Ontario. As we grow in population and climate change makes food harder to produce, we need this land more and more.

Adding some other area wont balance the losses here.

This is a loss to an already vulnerable set of ecosystems and a hindrance to our ability to adapt to food security issues. We’re sacrificing a major swath our agricultural future here and opening the door to more destruction.
