The Greenbelt is protected…

The Greenbelt is protected and supposed to be safe from any and all changes to it. The PC government needs to respect and honour that. Leave it alone! There are many, many reasons it was deemed protected and those reasons still exist and are even more important now than before.
There’s no way these areas need to be further developed. We already have gridlock and traffic congestion polluting the air and creating chaos.
People leave the cookie cutter subdivisions to escape the noise and chaos of their everyday lives to gain some semblance of sanity back.
Removing the green belt spaces will take away much needed resources for both people and animals/wildlife alike that share the space and call it home.
We already have displaced coyotes and foxes running through our cities because the urban sprawl has gotten way out of control.
The environment needs to be protected. That’s why this space was always supposed to be untouchable.

Leave it alone.
I don’t care how affordable the new housing is going to be. You can’t put a price on peace.
