As a potential future ontarian it concerns me greatly that the province doesn't seem to be caring for the environment around your biggest population center. Keeping wetlands balanced is an important part of sustainable development, and is only becoming more important as climates change. This action has my wife and I seriously reconsidering moving to Ontario, in lieu of other provinces. Wed both love to see the greenbelt maintained and higher density development spurred rather than catering to developers and building more sprawling single family homw in the extras.
