I am in strong opposition to…

I am in strong opposition to amending the Greenbelt Plan. I wish to hold Premier Ford to account on his comments saying that the Greenbelt would remain untouched.

There are several research-informed reasons why it is best these lands are protected, among them being:
- Destruction of ecologically important wetlands
- Destruction of accessible green space for folks in the more built up areas of the GTA
- Creation of further sprawl, which we know contributes to congestion, poorer air quality, and lower quality of life (we need density, not sprawl, so therefore could develop housing in such a way that irreplaceable green space doesn't get bulldozed)

Please reconsider this harmful act of environmental destruction. God knows you've destroyed enough in this province already, Doug.
