We have plenty of brown land which we could rezone and build multipurpose housing/ communities. Instead of using land with lavish ecosystems, and fertile soil, we need to start conserving land, as we are going to become more and more reliant on other places for food. We need to start conserving land as these ecosystems and watersheds play a pivotal role in flood water runoff, as well as contribute to keeping the water table balanced.
