It’s incredibly disappointing to see a push to develop on the important green space in southern Ontario instead of improving options for already developed residential areas. Where are the services for these green belt residents? Where will they go to the dentist, go shopping, take their kids to school? Will they move to the green belt and realize it’s too inconvenient to live there?

There’s so many options to improve and develop the parts of Ontario that need it. Bring housing to cities with developing industries, with people heading back to work in offices they’re now abandoning the small towns and outer suburbs to reduce their commute. There’s so much financial incentive to built more multi-unit housing, condos, rentals.

Housing aside, how will this impact already precarious situations for our beautiful flora and fauna in this province? Ontario could focus on elevating our cottage tourism and revolutionize the industry.

Another important aspect is agriculture, with ongoing supply chain issues Ontario should be focusing on stabilizing and improving the agri industry in Ontario.
