I am completely opposed to this proposed development on green space. The premier has lied - he said he ‘wouldn’t touch the Greenbelt’ - and this plan for housing will displace vulnerable wildlife and destroy native flora.
This is simply a plan to keep Ford’s developer friends happy. Ontario needs to explore other avenues to house the growing population expected by 2023. Build ‘up’ - NOT ‘out’.
I call on the provincial government to immediately re-consider the exploitation of Greenbelt and put funds towards preserving it instead.
