Besides the fact that Ford claimed the greenbelt wouldn't be touched, here are some good reasons to leave this space alone:

This is the only access to greenspace for most GTA residents

This is the only available space for wildlife in the GTA

Cooling effect on the greenbelt - with an impending energy shortage, and no real plan to remediate it, and the increasing temepratures of the GTA, we are going to put massive stain on our energy grid.

Increasing sprawl - actively deteriorates our quality of life and air quality. We need density, not sprawl.
