I am writing as a concerned citizen to voice my opposition to the proposed amendments to the greenbelt plan. I grew up around the greenbelt, and am passionate about its preservation.
This plan sets a dangerous precedent and puts our greenbelt at risk of disappearing over time.
As a Hamilton resident, I’d like to see the derelict and vacant buildings in our downtown core and surrounding areas be built up before we feel desperate enough to grab at our protected environment.
