As a Drive clean inspect and repair technician it has been my observation that light duty diesel vehicles, most notably Volkswagens, still contribute to pollution either from maintenance neglect or presumably manufacturer tampering. The retention of these vehicles in the program would be beneficial for everyone that breathes in my professional opinion.
