As a young Ontarian worried…

As a young Ontarian worried about our future, this is an awful idea and should not even be entertained. The greenbelt provides a continuous ecosystem of high quality/diversity lands that allow for species to move between them unimpeded. The removal of a portion of this land may cause a plethora of unknown negative impacts on biodiversity and other ecological impacts. There are far better ways to improve the housing situation such as vertical growth as opposed to the current urban sprawl. I implore the CPO to search for a better alternative and actually, for once, follow through on a promise from Premier Ford on May 1 2018 to not touch the Greenbelt.
