I'm deeply sadden and opposed to the destruction or alteration of Ontario's Greenbelt. It is my hope that the government of Ontario will rethink their plans to sacrifice one of the most biologically rich areas in all of Canada for the betterment of some travelers and wealthy people affiliated with high ranking people in our government who seek to make a profit on such destruction. It is concerning that the quantity/quality of our local drinking water could be impacted with such projects. In addition, farmland disappearing at an alarming rate in Southern Ontario - more than 450,000 acres of farmland has been lost since 1991 - a permanently protected Greenbelt is essential to sustain a reliable source of local agriculture. In closing, it shouldn't sound selfish that I would like the Greenbelt to be left as is or even expanded because the Greenbelt will impact millions of Ontarians lives for the better over the next few generations. If left untouched for a longer period of time the beneficial impacts could prove to be much greater than any highway could ever provide.

Please understand that I trust you will review my concerns in detail.
