There are plenty of methods for developing housing in areas that are not in the greenbelt. There is absolutely no need for the greenbelt to be developed in the way that Premier Ford wishes. I do not believe this proposal is good for the citizens of Ontario or the environment. I would question why this is even being proposed in the first place, as it seems like Premier Ford is once again using his status to enrich the lives of his friends and himself at the expense of Ontario citizens. Should the proposal go through, I would take a hard look at which developers gain access to the greenbelt, how they are connected to Premier Ford, and how much he, his family, and his friends stand to make from the development.
