Opening the greenbelt for development does not align with the urgent climate crisis our country and children are facing. I do not support these amendments. I would ask the province to keep the promises they made with respect to the greenbelt and instead look to intensification to increase the supply of what would be more affordable homes. The “Progressive Conservatives” need to show more willingness to progressively conserve our environment for our future generations, in consultation with local, provincial, federal government and Indigenous and other community stakeholders.
