This is a terrible idea. We cannot depend on global supply chains for food security, which has proven evident during covid and the russia-ukraine conflict.

If Ontario were to build a high speed rail network (whisking commuters through the greenbelt), Ontarians could continue to afford a variety of housing options, maintain food security, have access to high paying downtown jobs via the rail network, and not destroy priceless land and the natural wonder.
