Preserving and ensuring access to green space, wetlands, and conservation areas is incredibly important for current and future generations. We should be increasing environmental and land protections as we enter an era of unprecedented climate change. Although housing is an important issue, so is preserving the greenbelt and our natural resources which include land, forestry, and wildlife. I do NOT support the amendments to the Greenbelt Plan. There is not enough information or evidence to suggest that the proposed amendments would be beneficial enough to justify the environmental and economic impact.
