Shortage of land is not the primary reason behind our current housing crisis. Opening up protected lands in the Greenbelt area for development won’t help alleviate the issues we are facing while creating a massive ecological loss for Ontario.
Building on these lands, so far away from city centres and with no public transportation available, will also further aggravate urban sprawl issues and result in additional pollution.

I urge you to reconsider this proposal. I want to see the Greenbelt protected and solutions pushed forward to help alleviate our housing crisis that do not result in catastrophic ecological damage to our province and country.
