The green belt is some of the most arable land in the world. We have a crisis on the west coast of the country such as wild fires and droughts. We need to be more self reliant in this province (and country) to prevent a situation of having food shortages. We need the green belt because once it’s developed over and gone, it’s gone forever. You can’t just replace it by adding land form another section that has no designation. Consider building more density creatively in areas that need more housing and focusing on making more diverse city hubs in the province.
