I am wholeheartedly against this proposal to trade in protected areas of the greenbelt in Pickering, Ajax, and Clarington, to build more homes. This is exactly what a protected greenspace is protected FOR!!!! As a Pickering resident, this kind of despicable action by the government is infuriating. We will not live in the area if the beautiful green areas become paved and overcrowded with houses. There is a reason we did not move to Mississauga or Markham. Do not make the Durham area the next urban sprawl. It is heartbreaking.
