These proposals are damaging…

These proposals are damaging and unnecessary to our green belt areas. Most of these areas have already lost significant land to development and it is destroying our beautiful province. There are many opportunities to improve housing, and build new housing without the destruction of environmentally sensitive lands.

For instance, the Oak Ridge Moraine is home to many underground aquifers that nourish many communities, and feed into many streams, rivers, and other bodies of water. These lands are already under tons of pressure from losing land, irresponsible land owners, commercial farming, and mass development - all of which effect the health of the ecosystems negatively and thus impact our communities.

There are better options out there for improving housing in this province.
