I am a big proponent of more housing. However, this plan is not the way to do it.
The greenbelt is the only access to greenspace for most GTA residents
Only available space for wildlife in the GTA
The greenbelt has a cooling effect- with an impending energy shortage, and no real plan to remediate it, and the increasing temperatures of the GTA, we are going to put massive stain on our energy grid if we get rid of this natural heatsink
Increasing sprawl - actively deteriorates our quality of life and air quality. We need density, not sprawl.
