I am strongly opposed to removing protected greenbelt land in order for urban sprawl. Why take good, fertile land and destroy it? With the future of worldwide food shortages growing, all fertile land and waterways need to be protected more than ever. Build the housing on poor land, wherever that may be and if that is several hours away, so be it.
