I am strongly opposed to development of the Greenbelt in ANY WAY. The Greenbelt is a unique and fabulous area of Toronto and any encroachment will lead to catastrophic changes in wildlife migration and wetlands habitat. IF the aim of this proposal is to build more affordable housing then the Government of Ontario can re-purpose any of the office towers downtown that are currently standing empty or are grossly under occupied and turn them into high-density, affordable housing close to amenities, clinics, hospitals and public transport. Toronto does not need any more “McMansions”. Keep your hands off the Greenbelt Mr Ford!
