I am strongly opposed to this proposal, which breaks a key election promise by the Ford government. This is corrupt, will destroy ecosystems, and ultimately will be harmful to human wellbeing because it will put existing and new human developments at greater risk of flooding -- which ultimately will cost taxpayer money. Wetlands and forest help to prevent flooding when there is heavy rainfall. Over the last decade, the climate crisis has led to more heavy rainfall in Toronto. I have personally experienced flooding as a result of this.

Save the greenbelt: Doug Ford promised he would keep it untouched and he is breaking his promise to the people to enrich his developer friends.
