Instead of tearing up more wetland/farmland, the provincial government can focus instead on increasing urban density within existing boundaries. Other world class cities recognise the positive environmental and societal benefits of higher density neighbourhoods. Creating ever more car-commute friendly, remote, single family neighborhoods makes zero sense both from an economic and an environmental standpoint.
