We have a housing crisis in Ontario. However the housing crisis does not exist because of green belt land and not enough houses. The housing crisis exists because rent protections have been stripped away by this conservative government. The housing crisis exists because we have multi-million dollar corporations buying up real estate en-mass as investments, jacking up the price for the working class Ontarians who wish to buy homes.

Removing greenbelt protections is simply a bandaid solution, aimed to make developers richer. We have existing viable land in this province for homes. We do not need to strip away our greenbelt in the GTA or we will see environmental consequences.
