We do not need McMansions on the green belt. We need high density, low income buildings in the city of Toronto, so that people can live and work without hours long commutes on transit. Or even worse, taking a solo drive into the city especially when we barely have the infrastructure to drive in and with gas prices on the rise. And there are MANY empty office buildings that could be used for this purpose RIGHT NOW. Instead of years of development time from now.
No one gains from this proposal beyond Dougie’s buddies. We can barely afford our rent let alone a brand new build start at $1M!
