The Greenbelt is one of Ontario's most precious treasures. Every time I drive along it on Highway 407 I marvel at its beauty. I think of it as an indicator of Ontario's health, and believe it serves to remind us that our prosperity is linked to how we care for the land.
Please do not develop any part of the Greenbelt. Instead, research possibilities for densification. Look for industrial parks or old developments that can be expropriated for redevelopment. I would rather see a condo complex built than another raft of identical houses. Densification is more sustainable and will still create housing.
I'll say it again: leave the Greenbelt alone. Thanks.
