Mr. Ford,

In the very recent past, you have stated that you have heard and listened to the people of Ontario. You promised that you wouldn't touch the Greenbelt. You promised that you wouldn't bring harm to this ecologically delicate area of our province.

If this is what the people want, and if your job is to be the voice of the people, how can you possibly "go rogue" and simply decide, for yourself, that Greenbelt development is now the way to go?

Sure, blame it on immigrants and the rising population of the GTA.

There are better solutions to explore, like creating high-density living spaces from under-used spaces in Toronto. I am a Toronto resident myself and would welcome this solution over scarring the Greenbelt forever, flooding its land, disrupting entire ecosystems, displacing animals, and plopping down a bunch of mansions (which wouldn't even help the immigrants to which you refer as the problem) for your corporate friends.

You know the right thing to do is to LISTEN TO YOUR CONSTITUENTS and keep your hands off the Greenbelt. You know that's what needs to happen. Please keep your word and keep the Greenbelt intact. Be the voice of Ontarians; be our representative and not just another greasy politician who follows his own desires.

Please. And thank you.
