Regardless in the long run the green belt is still technically getting bigger that’s not the point it is protected land for a reason you can not just pick and choose parts of the land you just want to take. There other places abandoned places you can do the exact same thing to. Leave the protected lands alone. It’s already someone else’s home. This would just kill our planet even faster. Not to mention it mainly swap land so those houses that you think is such a great idea to build there will just be sinking into the ground. You’re so worried about building homes for future populations growth but you seem to forget that if we continue on this terrible path there isn’t going to be a planet left for the future
