Hello there,

I am sharing my deep concern about this project. Premier Ford told us he would never touch the green belt and now has gone back on his promise to further his agenda (and those of his many developer friends along the proposed highway route). The greenbelt is a very important piece of ecologically diverse land which must be protected- especially as our environment and climates are already facing disastrous consequences from climate change and overdevelopment. Instead of doing this- it would be great to use the money to repurpose empty office buildings in Toronto into affordable housing since we are facing a housing and homelessness crisis.
