Why is the Ford Government overruling the will of voters? In, Halton region, Hamilton, and Niagara region the public has voted again sprawl and prioritized intensification within built areas. Municipal staff have submitted plans that met the Province's population growth forecasts that did not require developing the greenbelt.

This decision by the Province to allow development agricultural lands is disappointing and is evidence that the Province does not care about the will of the voters. I will be support any action, court challenges, protests to ensure the protection of Ontario's greenbelt and agricultural lands. The province does not need more urban sprawl. It needs smarter intensification.
